Resolution of several puzzles at intermediate pT and recent developments in correlations

Abstract:
Several puzzles at intermediate pT that are hard to understand in the fragmentation picture are shown to be resolved in the recombination model. We then proceed to show the consequences of parton recombination on the behavior of hadron correlations in jets. Four types of correlation will be presented: eta and phi distribution on the near side, C_2(1,2), autocorrelation, and away-side distribution due to parton rescattering.
